Project:  Harmony Homes Bible Study Leader for Senior Adults

Hickory Pond Assisted Living facility is nestled in the historic town of Durham, New Hampshire. From its beautiful setting in the countryside to the old fashioned styling of a New England bed and breakfast: mom, dad, or yourself, will get the best out of our community’s serene setting while getting the assistance needed to live life to the fullest.

24 residents enjoy life together with fully licensed staff.  Many of these senior adults would like to participate in a Bible Study but have difficulty leaving the facility on a regular basis to attend something in the community.  This is an opportunity to bring the community to these residents.

Responsibilities: 

Leading a Bible Study for 4-8 senior adults at Harmony Homes at Hickory Pond.  Assistance can be provided, if needed, for creation and implementation of the Bible Study chosen.  This opportunity can be done as an individual or as a group.

Time commitment:

Varies.  The Bible Study can be held weekly or every other week.  The time is flexible.

Start date/end date: 

Varies.

Requirements:

A love for Jesus and for senior adults in our community.  The ability to engage with older individuals, some that may have early memory decline.

Appropriate for children/youth: Yes.  Younger children can participate in craft events before/after the Bible Study.  Older children and teenagers could participate and contribute to the Bible Study.
